The vent cover can be rotated to any position before it is mounted though it should be mounted in a downward fixed position to prevent water from entering. The louvers are fixed in place and the inside diameter is not specified. The collar is 2 7/16" deep. However, the vent is not designed for heater ducting as it is not heat resistant. Looking at customer reviews, the vent is flexible and strong enough to conform to slight contours. It fits perfectly on boats like Bass Tracker TX 17 or Moomba Boomerang but the throat opening is 3-1/4" and requires drilling to install.
