Answer: For gum irritations, if it is for stomatitis, it is to be used long term since there is no cure for this virus. It is put on the cat's gums every other day. It is also recommended to give 5000 mg of lysine powder, sprinkled on wet food, every day and spray the cat's mouth every day with 'plaque off'. -

Answer: You are to rub it on the gums. Some people have put it in their cat's food but saw no results. All cats respond to different things. -

Answer: After using it for about 2 weeks on a daily basis, some people noticed about a 50% improvement. It is recommended to be used daily only for a month and then 3x per week. It varies from cat to cat. -

Is there any difference between this & the human version? Humans pay 60 gels for $38-can someone tell me the ingredients & amounts per softgel?
Answer: There is no human approved version of this product. The package contents information is a little lacking, but the ingredients are as follows: EFAC Proprietary Blend (bovine source): 525mg, Carob Glycerin, Gelatin, Mixed Tocopherols, Olive oil, Soybean Oil. The package warns in several areas that the product is for use in dogs and cats only.
