Why do so many people say that the length is too long?
Answer: On my 9-3 Saab the length was different. But the only thing wrong with my old one was the yellow top was broken. I took the new top off and installed it on the old dipstick and everything was ok -

I have a 2002 Saab 9-5 with a 2.3 l. Actual length?
Answer: I already sold the car I bought it for but it fit perfectly in my 2000 9-5. It was also easier to read oil level as end tip is light gray. That part didn’t change over a several year period. Should work fine.
