The Dräger X-plore 1350 Odor Particulate Respirator with Exhalation Valve is a NIOSH-certified mask with odor protection. It is manufactured in the US by the German company Draeger. The scientific approach to determining the size needed is to try each size and carry out a face fit test, but there is a donning video available for those who cannot do so. The mask is not recommended for sleeping in or for use with anesthestic gases. The masks are smaller than usual but are probably too big for a 3-year-old. The mask seems to have received mixed reviews. Some have found it to be a life saver for allergies and efficient at filtering odors, while others have found it to not fit well and be uncomfortable.
