Idemitsu ATF Type H Automatic Transmission Fluid
Overall, customers have had positive experiences using Idemitsu ATF Type H-Plus Automatic Transmission Fluid for Honda, Acura. The fluid is recommended for drain and fill on most Honda vehicles fifteen years old and previous. It has worked as a direct replacement for Honda DW1, the newest version of Honda ATF, and is backwards compatible. Customers are advised to check their owner’s manual for compatibility before purchasing. Most Honda vehicles need 3.5 quarts or less, and the 5QT container is enough for multiple changes. The fluid works on Acura 9 speeds, 2012 Honda Odyssey, 2000 Honda CRV, and 2011 Acura MDX SHAWD. However, it is not designed for multi-vehicle use and should not be used in Subaru vehicles. Customers recommend changing this fluid every 3-4 oil changes and doing 3 drain/repeats to completely change the fluid. It has made transmissions shift like butter and stopped transmission slip. Customers also noticed a difference in performance when switching from Idemitsu fluid to Honda DW1. The price is worth it, though customers wished it was cheaper.
