  • Question: What type of bulbs does the Credenza LED+ lamp dimmer switch work with?

    Answer: It works with up to 100-Watt of dimmable LED/CFL or 250-Watt of incandescent/halogen bulbs from various brands including Philips, Cree, GE, EcoSmart and Lighting Science.
  • Question: How does it work?

    Answer: The dimmer switch simply plugs into your table or floor lamp, and you can use the slide to turn the light on/off or to adjust brightness.
  • Question: Is this dimmer switch compatible with future light sources?

    Answer: Yes, Lutron dimmers with HED Technology also provide full-range dimming for halogen and incandescent bulbs to ensure that the dimmer is compatible with tomorrow's light sources.
  • Question: Can someone confirm that this will turn off led bulbs completely? led, not incandescent.

    Answer: Yes, if the LED can be dimmed. This is a very smooth operating dimmer. When you slide it to the lowest brilliance of the LED, the slide encounters the very slightest barrier which you have to push a bit further to actually turn off the bulb. If you don't slide to the very end, the LED just remains at very low brilliance!
  • Question: Description says it supports 600 watts of incandescent, but some state only 250 or 300 watts. Can someone look on the back of their unit and confirm?

    Answer: The model you specified (Lutron TTCL-100H-WH) will handle 250 W incandescent or 100 W CFL/LED bulbs as shown on the back of the unit.
  • Question: When it says maximum 100 watt leds, do they mean brightness or actual draw. each 100 watt led only draws 13 watts. so which is it?

    Answer: To use your words, it means actual draw. As each bulb uses only 13 watts, you could put a string of 7 bulbs on it (unlikely!) before getting to the 100 watt limit (7 x 13 = 91 watts). This device has worked smoothly for us with '60' watt bulbs that only take 8 watts.
  • Question: Bistro: I just ordered bistro lighting for my balcony but the bulbs are not bright. Would this work for the bistro lights?

    Answer: This product is rated to handle 100 watts of LED and CFL or 250 watts of incandescent and halogen line voltage lighting loads. As long as the Bistro lights fit these specifications and are not low voltage with a transformer, then this dimmer should be able to control them.
  • Question: What is Lutron's customer support/tech support number?

    Answer: Look it up, you obviously have a computer.
  • Question: Are people using it indoors with lamps which are typically only rated between 60-100W? I assume it's all LED?

    Answer: I have only used it indoors and for LED. As far as wattage goes, with LED, the wattage is only like 9 for a 60w equivalent brightness.
  • Question: Is there a list of lights that this works best with? I'm looking to use it with 100w equivalent soft led or cfl.

    Answer: It works with any light and anything. I used it to regulate a heat mat for a reptile tank. Works well.
  • Question: Can I plug this into a timer, and will it turn on to the preset brightness level?

    Answer: If the timer output is a relay or other mechanical switch, you will have no problems. If it's an electronic output (makes NO noise when it turns off), and it's a three wire device (not including ground), you are very likely good to go. If it's a two wire device, probably will work, but there's a chance it won't.
  • Question: Can this be used outdoors?

    Answer: This is not rated for outdoor use. Simply because it is not water resistant and is an electrical device.
  • Question: Worth buying?

    Answer: No. I spent three times the amount of money trying to find a bulb that works with this. Even bulbs that were suggested. I threw mine out. Did not trust it. But...Good Luck.
