The Char-Broil Performance TRU-Infrared 3-Burner Grill is a great option for those who want efficient cooking. Despite the difficult cleaning process of the grates, the grill has the ability to cook a 1" thick steak to medium rare in 8 to 10 minutes. Assembly requires an adjustable wrench, screwdriver, and a 7/16" combination wrench. The tray beneath the infrared grill can easily be removed for cleaning. Char-Broil does not sell charcoal grills and the right side shelf is stationary and does not fold. The infrared glass grates are appreciated by users as they leave no cold spots, but they can take a bit of time to get used to. While it is harder to clean, users find that it cooks food well and at an excellent price. Assembly instructions are lacking and images may require guesswork. Users seem to appreciate the efficient cooking and its ability to prevent flareups in innovative ways. There have been reports of damaged parts, but otherwise, users seem happy with the product.
