    Answer: I certainly think so. Moccasins would be a great usage. Bear in mind, you'll need to line it with something, so other material, but they would make perfectly molded moccasin.
  • Question: Is it thin enough to use it for bookbinding? Bookbinding leather is usually quite thin, thinner than a dime.

    Answer: It is pretty thick leather and soft.
  • Question: Can this leather be sewn on a standard sewing machine?

    Answer: Yes. I have been sewing it. Get machine needles for denim as they have a narrow sharp point that eases the sturdy part of the needle into the leather.
  • Question: I need leather to make gloves and mittens from, so it needs to be real soft and flexible as well as thin enough. Is it?

    Answer: The piece I received I believe would be fine for gloves. It is fairly thin, flexible and soft. The front is smooth and shiny and the back is like suede. I never made gloves or mittens, but I think it would work fine.

    Answer: Yes, 100% tanned sheepskin leather.

    Answer: The goat skin suede leather I bought is soft and supple and would work fine for a purse of that nature.

    Answer: Yes, I hand-sew jackets, vests, leggings, moccasins, & ceremonial shirts.

    Answer: It is soft and rather thin. If you think about leather used to make saddles as reference, about as thick as a quarter.
