Whirlpool 3387747 Element

**** The Whirlpool 3387747 Element has garnered a mixed yet generally favorable reception among customers who have undertaken its installation as a DIY project. Many users report that the element is a direct factory replacement, easy to install, and performs well once in place. The positive experiences are typically linked to thorough troubleshooting, where users commend the availability of online resources such as YouTube videos, as well as the helpful “For Technicians Only” manual concealed within the dryer. Customers highlight the straightforward installation process, with careful attention needed to ensure safety—particularly the necessity to disconnect the power before beginning any repairs. A notable aspect of feedback is the potential for DIYers to save significant costs—both in terms of avoiding expensive technician fees and opting for this affordably priced part over more costly alternatives. Users express satisfaction with the performance longevity and efficiency of the element during the first few months of use. However, it's essential to note that not all experiences are positive. Some customers reported dissatisfaction, indicating that their elements failed prematurely, lasting only a few months. These users advocate for the procurement of original manufacturer parts, arguing that investing a bit more for these parts yields better reliability in the long run. Maintaining a balance in feedback, many suggest giving DIY repair a chance before opting for professional help, while also warning of the quality variance that may arise from non-OEM parts. In summary, the Whirlpool 3387747 Element appeals to those willing to engage in a bit of DIY work, appreciating the balance of cost savings and performance. However, potential buyers should be mindful of occasional quality issues reported by some customers. **
