What type of battery is required for this robot?
Answer: One AAA battery is required, which is not included in the kit. -

Is this too young for an 8 year old?
Answer: I think that an 8-year old could put this together with some assistance. My son and I put it together. He is 8 years old, but cognitively around 6 years old due to handicap. He was able to do a lot of the work, but needed help and supervision along the way. He enjoyed the putting it together with me more than playing with the robot. -

I am a teacher. Will I be able to reuse this product by disassembling it or is it a one time use?
Answer: You can disassemble it, though you will need to be careful. The pieces are plastic and for the most part, snap into place. -

Mine is missing one of the pen arm mounts, is there a way of getting replacement parts?
Answer: No. Unfortunately, spare parts are not provided or available. -

what if it doesn't work the first time you assemble it?
Answer: Right. We have taken this apart and put it together many times -- there is no problem to troubleshoot. Start working backwards. Is the battery in right side up? Start undoing the robot in reverse -- make sure the connections are good. I hope that helps. I am not the person who assembles the robot -- it's my sure-handed son. -

Is it possible to program/code the robot to do more things? Is it controlled by a microcontroller?
Answer: No you can't program it to do more thing -

How much of the robot do they actually assemble?
Answer: There is quite a bit of assembly to do, but nothing difficult for an adult. I have taught robotics camp using this as a project and found that some of the 2nd & 3rd-grade kids need lots of help while others did nearly all of the assembly on there own. In conclusion, most kids younger than 4th grade will need at least a little help, but older kids and adults should make quick work of it. -
