The Promar Heavy Duty Collapsible Crab Pot is a mesh trap with a hinged tending door that is Alaska legal. The pot uses tension spokes to keep it erect and its top has a bungy that is secured with rot cord. Multiple customers have used it with success for catching legal crabs, but some have had issues with the netting size being too large for Dungeness crab, causing them to escape. Some found the mesh started to unravel after a few uses. One customer had issues with the door getting caught in the netting, making it less effective. However, others found the product easy to use and appreciated that it breaks down for storage.
