Slow drains require 2 ounces per day directly into the drain for five Consecutive days or until the drain flows freely, while drain preventative maintenance requires 3 ounces per month directly into each drain. Although the product is formulated to dissolve oil, soap scum, shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste, shaving cream and kitchen/human waste, it is not designed to dissolve hard water mineral deposits or rust.
