The Armor Tool APJ-700 Self-Adjusting Mini Jig is a useful tool for drilling pocket holes in awkward pieces. The built-in screw size selector is a good feature for ease of use, however, there are some issues with this product that need improving. The magnet is not very strong which causes some difficulty when positioning the tool. There is also quite a bit of movement and vibration with the internal grey piece with guides causing chatter while drilling. Lastly, the stop collar set screw tends to strip easily. Overall, the concept of the Armor Tool APJ-700 is excellent, but the execution needs more attention. Despite the need for improvement, a keen DIYer can use the armor jig mini for quick and small projects instead of going for the more expensive Armor pocket auto jig.
