    Answer: This is from a Poison Center for Animals. Is Tea Tree Safe for Pets? The simple answer to this is NO, and below we illustrate why it is not safe for Cats or Dogs…. Tea tree oil (melaleuca) is an essential oil produced from the Australian tea tree plant. Tea tree oil is known for its anti fungal and antibacterial properties, and possibly for its anti-pruritic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-parasitic effects. Tea tree oil is often found in varying concentrations. As little as 7 drops of 100% oil has resulted in severe poisoning, and applications of 10-20 mls of 100% oil have resulted in poisoning and death in both dogs and cats. My answer to you would be not to take the risk with your pet. A dog or a cat licks themselves and ingests the Tea Tree. So I don't think it's safe no matter what per cent strength it is. I hope this helps...
  • Question: Does this have the strong herbal smell that PM has?

    Answer: it has a strong herbal smell but it almost seems like straight chemicals and perfume are what is making it smell like that.I had a bad reaction (for the first time in my entire life) to this shampoo and it irritated my skin and gave me small pimples and almost rash like symptoms that went away exactly 48 hours after discontinuing this product. I then flushed it down the toilet and even this caused me issues as it got very bubbly and started to overflow the pipes downstairs of my house... its like I just couldn't get rid of it :)
  • Question: Does this product leave hair feeling stripped and dry?

    Answer: No, it doesn't, but we have hair that is normal to oily (which is why we use it as oily scalp produces dandruff). We find it comparable to the name brand Tea Tree shampoo.

    Answer: I use it on natural hair.
