    Answer: Yes, it works in both saltwater and freshwater

    Answer: Yes, the HID bulb prevents barnacle growth

    Answer: They are built to be exposed, only the gfci plug needs to be protected from the rain (by using a while in use outlet cover).
  • Question: How does the installation work underwater?

    Answer: We supply with the Lamp a weight that you attach to the lamp cable and you just simply place the lamp in the water and the bulb will float above the weight at the depth that you choose. Hopefully this answers your installation question. Let us know if you have additional questions.
  • Question: If I have it turn on only on weekend nights, will it extend the life of the bulb?

    Answer: If the bulb will be put into salt water then the bulb must be on nightly to prevent barnacles growing. If it will be in fresh water or you will be removing the bulb from the salt water then yes you could only have it powered on during the weekend nights and the bulb life will be longer.

    Answer: This unit is a 175 watt system.

    Answer: This is a 7,900 lumen bulb.
  • Question: What is the minimum depth for the light if there is no boat traffic in the water?

    Answer: You just have to make sure it is always underwater. Minimum depth is 1 foot.
