The ExOfficio Women's BugsAway Sol Cool Ampario Convertible Hiking Pants are designed for outdoor activities and feature UPF 30 fabrication to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. The pants convert to shorts with color-coded zippers at the knees and have ample hip pockets, a handy zippered leg pocket, and snaps on the back pockets. While the Construction is top-notch, there are a couple of major flaws that may make them unworkable for some. The non-stretch fabric does not move with the body through the hips when walking, and the waistband is designed to sit on the hips, resulting in discomfort when sitting. Additionally, the pockets are vertical slits located far forward on the thigh, causing them to gape open and make the pants unattractive.
