Bought for 48v golf cart, tried to hook up to radio and fried it. Do i need to buy a separate amp reducer to convert to 12v 5amps?
Answer: If you're not drawing 10 amps you should be fine. Did you install fuses? I installed a fuse on both the 48v and 12v side. -

Does it get hot?
Answer: The entire body is a heatsink. How warm or hot it gets will depend on how much current your load draws. I use it to convert 12 Vdc to 6 Vdc at 2 amps and it's not warm to the touch. -

Are both units adjustable? I'm looking for 60v down to 11-11.5v.
Answer: it is adjustable. I don't remember the ranges but that will be in specs. My input on it is working from 30-40 in vdc to 13.8 dc out to charge batteries. I hope this helps. -

Answer: Sure will. I was at 48v and got an 11.85v out, but it was solid and did the job. Your 24 is just fine. Work good so far and no heat. Georg -
