The cable management is located at the back of the stand and assembly is relatively easy due to the screw rods that are used to put the piece together. The glass on this TV stand is .31" top glass/.20 lower shelves. The stand has been safety tested for use with the parts included as is. The TV stand seems to be sturdy and durable, perfect for a 55" TV and is both attractive and easy to assemble. However, reviewers have reported a top shelf that suddenly exploded into shards of glass and the wire organizer doesn't connect to the top, which may be a concern.
