Answer: I have been using this on my cat for almost 5 years to great success. As long as the collar is periodically removed, this device has not presented any evidence of harm or injury to my cat over the past almost 5 years. -

What happens if I put the collar 24-7 on my cat??
Answer: I left it on my cat 24/7 despite the manufacturer's recommendation not to. The cat wore the collar all the time but periodically tested the batteries and started hanging out in the no-go zone as soon as they ran down. It is advisable to remove the collar periodically. -

What's the difference between the mini barrier and the indoor barrier?
Answer: The mini barrier has a smaller range. It's great for smaller areas. -

Where is the reset button?
Answer: The barrier unit has + and - buttons, each of which is used to increase or decrease the range of the signal, but the unit has no reset button. -

How long do the batteries in the 'rock' last for?

Answer: The older models were originally named Innotek Zones but have been rebranded to PetSafe Pawz Away Barriers. Though they have a different name, they are compatible with one another. -

How long do the batteries typically last?
Answer: It depends on the behavior of your pet. The transmitter (or puck) usually lasts 4-6 months if your pet leaves the puck alone. However, if your pet likes to constantly challenge the puck, the transmitter lasts only 1 month. Moving the pucks around (which one sometimes have to do) can generate stimulation as they get used to the 'do not enter this zone.' -

It is waterproof, can be used indoors and outdoors and has an adjustable range of up to 2 1/2 feet radius. The device sends a warning beep to the pet to indicate there is a no-go area, and if they continue, they will get a mild shock. Customers have different experiences, from some having dogs and cats that have become well-behaved over time, and others having dogs and cats who have gotten used to the shock and appear to be unaffected. Some people had issues with the range of the collar, while others had difficulties keeping up with battery life. Although the product worked for some, others claimed it didn't work at all, and they found it unreliable.
