It requires a PoE (Power over Ethernet) and does not need a separate power adapter. It is important to note that customers should ensure they are using an authentic Yealink power adapter, as it will not power on if it is not. The phone should be set up through IP address, which can be confusing without proper instructions. Unfortunately, there is no tech support to contact by phone, only through email. The Yealink SIP-T40G works with various VOIP systems, including 3CX but it is not compatible with Microsoft Teams.
