The fermentation crock is a great tool to make sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi. It is a sturdy and well-made product that is dishwasher safe. It comes with two stone weights that help keep the fermenting foods submerged under brine, thus preventing mold growth. The crock has a water channel that creates an airlock, preventing outside air from getting into the crock. However, the water channel holds little water which dries up quickly during warmer months, and Constant attention and refilling are needed to keep the seal. Unfortunately, the lid might break if bumped slightly, and some customers struggled with keeping fermented veggies clean and free of mold.
